Terms and conditions for using the MCC-MNC Database
1. Overview
The data made available through this website, its API, and its downloadable files (the "Database") is a curated compilation derived from publicly available sources, including ITU Operational Bulletins, and independently processed, normalized, and maintained.
While the underlying facts are public in nature, this Database, its structure, selection, formatting, historical tracking, and ongoing maintenance constitute original work.
2. Permitted Use
Subject to these terms, you may:
- Access and query the Database through the website or API
- Download provided datasets for personal, educational, research, or internal business use
- Use the data during the beta/testing period at no cost
- Reference or cite individual records with attribution
Attribution should state:
"Data compiled by mcc-mnc-lookup.com, sourced from publicly available ITU materials."
3. Prohibited Use
Without prior written permission, you may not:
- Rehost, mirror, or redistribute the Database in whole or in substantial part
- Offer a competing database, API, lookup service, or data product derived from the Database

- Resell, sublicense, or package the Database for third-party distribution
- Remove or obscure attribution, disclaimers, or notices
4. API and Downloads (Beta)
The API and downloadable datasets are currently provided free of charge in beta and may be subject to:
- Rate limits
- Access restrictions
- Changes in format, availability, or pricing
- Temporary suspension or discontinuation
Future commercial terms may apply without affecting rights already granted under this license.
5. Reservation of Rights
All rights not expressly granted in this license are reserved.
This includes rights to introduce paid tiers, commercial licenses, or expanded access in the future.
6. No Warranty
The Database is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind.
Accuracy, completeness, and availability are not guaranteed.
7. Termination

Data Usage FAQ
Can I use this data for free?
Yes. The website, API, and downloads are currently free during beta and may be used for personal, educational, research, or internal business purposes.
Can I use this data in my own application or project?
Yes, as long as the data is not rehosted or redistributed as a standalone dataset or competing lookup service.
Using the data internally or as a small supporting component of a larger application is fine.
Can I download the full dataset?
Yes. Downloads are provided for evaluation, research, and internal use during beta.
Bulk downloads may be restricted or require a separate license in the future.
Can I rehost the data on my own website or offer it as an API?
No. Rehosting, mirroring, or offering this data as a public database, API, or lookup service is not permitted without permission.
Can I build a competing MCC/MNC database or API using this data?
No. Using this data to build or enhance a competing data service is not allowed.
Can I scrape the site?
Please don't. Automated scraping or bulk extraction outside of the provided API is prohibited.

Paid tiers or commercial licenses may be introduced later.
